Do you want the professional version or the fun version? Let’s have fun first 😉
One of the hardest things about this blog is that I love two clashing aesthetics: Bright happy pastels and Gothic. In its first iteration, I had a lovely pastel palette. Then I decided the palette clashed with what I typically write. While I personally find the clash hilarious, I’m not sure I should give any potential visitors tonal whiplash. So the only place I can note it is here, my bio. (Unless you check out my Instagram, then you’ll see my pastel goodness 😉
Now the professional version:
A. D. Perales is an author of speculative fiction specializing in fantasy, soft science fiction, and gothic.
The scant 24-hour day is divided between her many hobbies, including gaming, stationery, gardening, walking, reading, and baking. Liquids are a Thing — tea (especially Jasmine), coffee, water, Calpico, Bubble Tea (Taro!!), matcha, aguas frescas (especially cucumber-lime, melon, and jamaica/hibiscus), and kombucha but never soda pop. Music is everything from vaporwave to classical to kpop/jpop to blues rock to Tejano but don’t ask about country unless it’s Dolly Parton! Though she lives in a small town, when she travels, she always makes visiting museums a priority. She never turns down a Target run (no matter how dangerous they are to her wallet!) She has three lovely cats: a Nibelung named Ashes, a tuxedo named Morgana, and a calico named Alchemy.
She is currently pursuing a Masters in Information Science to become a librarian.
Under the banner of Atelier Fiction, she writes under several pseudonyms: Desirée Scriba, who specializes in Gamelit and Villainess-themed stories and Luna Lucio, who releases paranormal romance serials in Kindle Vella. MG novels are written as Autumn Perales.
